Kurdistan Technical Institute Conducts a Seminar on Quality Assurance and Continuous Academic Development for Faculty Members

In line with the strategic vision and guidelines of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Directorate of Scientific Affairs and Quality Assurance at Kurdistan Technical Institute (KTI) organized a comprehensive seminar for the institute\'s academic staff.

The seminar was presented by Mr. Hawar Yaba Hussein, Director of Scientific Affairs and Quality Assurance. He emphasized the pivotal role of quality assurance in refining educational standards, fostering competent technical cadres, and ensuring continuous academic progression.

During the session, the key pillars of the Quality Assurance process were thoroughly discussed, including:

• Continuous Academic Development (CAD) for faculty members.

• Student feedback mechanisms regarding teaching methodologies and examination processes.

• Coursebook design and Teacher Portfolio updates according to ministry standards.

• External evaluation of academic departments.

Furthermore, Mr. Hawar underscored the significance of curriculum development, practical training, and aligning technical education with the private and public job markets. He also highlighted students\' academic rights, such as receiving coursebooks prior to the semester and participating in constructive course assessments to guarantee a modern and transparent learning environment.

The seminar concluded with an open discussion among the faculty members to align academic efforts for the upcoming academic stages.
