Message from the Dean of Kurdistan Technical Institute on the 37th Anniversary of the Chemical Attack on Halabja
After 37 years, Kurdistan and the Kurdish people are still mourning the Halabja massacre. We shed tears when we see the pictures, and every year on this day, we hear new stories. On March 16, 1988, the Ba’athist regime bombed Halabja, killing more than 5,000 innocent Kurdish citizens, including women, children, and youth, and injuring more than 10,000 others.
On this occasion, we extend our condolences to the families of the victims of this tragedy.
