The Kurdistan Technical Institute (KTI) is a private technical higher-education institute in Sulaymaniyah, Kurdistan Region of Iraq. It was established on 19 October 2015 under Ministerial Decree No. 21923 of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MHESR) of the Kurdistan Regional Government, to take part in the historical and national responsibility of preparing skilled technical professionals for a growing economy and an evolving labour market. Its founding came at a timely moment and answered a real need of the stage: students in Kurdistan needed a modern institute offering modern programmes. Now in its second decade, KTI is one of the most recognised technical institutes in the region. It delivers 12 internationally aligned two-year diploma programmes, holds IEAC 5-Star accreditation and ISO 9001:2015 certification, and has produced 4,872 graduates.
