Following the release of the HE Higher Education Ranking 2026, KTI proudly marks its first-ever inclusion in the ranking—standing alongside leading universities from around the world.
What makes this achievement particularly remarkable is that KTI is the only institution in Iraq to be featured on this year’s list.
According to the official results, KTI is ranked 229th globally out of 507 academic institutions across 95 countries. Nationally, it holds the 13th position in Iraq and an impressive 2nd place in the Kurdistan Region.
